How to install Eclipse MarketPlace on Eclipse Helios

In my last post, I shared the workaround of adding plugin to work with Eclipse latest edition called Eclipse Juno 4.2. I learned Eclipse for some reason kept on forgetting security token, username and password and pops window everytime you open any file. After posting on the forum for Eclipse development, we concluded that problem actually stays in is plugin not the Eclipse IDE itself and Eclipse have no control over it

Eclipse Juno offer Eclipse MarketPlace, I thought this would great idea if we can have Eclipse MarketPlace on old editions. Please follow the steps below to configure market place in side Helios and Indigo

How to install Eclipse Market Place on Eclipse Helios and Indigo ?

Open eclipse Help -> Install New Software and type in

For Helios :  in the works with row as shown in the picture below

For Indigo type in : Indigo repository -

Select General Purpose Development and under general purpose development you will find Eclipse Market Place

Restart Eclipse and click back on Help and Eclipse Marketplace to popup the window shown below
